Smartphone-Powered In-Vehicle Experiences

WebLink 4.0

Bring more of the connected world to the vehicle screen.

WebLink 4.0 transforms the in-vehicle display into a connected, cloud-managed experience powered by Abalta CMS and SmartLink. It brings maps, media, web content, and smartphone-powered services into an intuitive interface that works across iPhone and Android.

The phone stays the source. WebLink carries its maps, media, and connected services through to the screen already in the dash.

A more flexible connection between the phone and the vehicle.

WebLink 4.0 combines smartphone connectivity, cloud-managed services, and an improved user experience. OEMs can bring navigation, entertainment, web browsing, screen sharing, and other connected services to the vehicle display while supporting lock-screen usability and familiar mobile ecosystems.

The platform can support experiences such as Genius Maps, Waze, smartphone mirroring, media and video playback, and direct browser access. It can also provide a smooth transition to CarPlay or Android Auto when drivers choose to use those systems.

Benefits

Connected Platform

Powered by Abalta CMS and SmartLink, WebLink 4.0 combines smartphone connectivity with cloud-managed services. The result is an in-vehicle experience that can be adapted and extended after the vehicle ships, rather than fixed at launch.

iPhone and Android Support

Support drivers across both major smartphone platforms, providing access to maps, media, and supported data services. Owners keep the phone and the apps they already use, without the experience being tied to one mobile ecosystem.

Browser and Media Access

Give users access to supported websites, news, streaming media, shopping, and video through a browser built for the vehicle display — sized for the screen, the input method, and the current safety state.

Navigation and Screen Sharing

Bring familiar navigation experiences such as Genius Maps and Waze to the vehicle screen, alongside smartphone mirroring and screen sharing. Drivers get the guidance they already trust, presented at in-vehicle scale.

Safety-First Usability

Lock-screen-friendly functionality helps the phone stay secure and out of the way during the drive, while a cleaner interface presents essential controls and content more clearly on the vehicle display.

Flexible Ecosystem Integration

WebLink complements the vehicle’s broader digital ecosystem rather than competing with it, including a smooth transition to CarPlay or Android Auto whenever the driver prefers those experiences instead.

More than screen sharing

WebLink 4.0 does more than reproduce the phone screen. It provides an integrated environment for supported apps, browser-based content, navigation, media, and cloud-managed services — all presented through an experience designed for the vehicle.
